STEPPING STONES…

We, at SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL and CREMATORIUM, are pleased to announce an additional service with the commencement of a new program, STEPPING STONES… designed for families who have used our services. These sessions are offered with Richard C. Worden, RSW, CFLE.

There are four Stepping Stones in the process of healing from a loss. The first step is “To accept the reality of the loss.” The second step is “To work through to the pain of grief.” The third step is “To adjust to an environment in which the deceased is missing.” And, the final step is “To emotionally relocated the deceased and move on with life.

This Stepping Stones Program is a group experience. Pre-registration is required and depending on need there will be available day and evening programs. Each Stepping Stone may involve more than one 1.5 to 2 hour session.

To register for the STEPPING STONE PROGRAM please telephone: (403) 529-5294 or (403) 928-9951.

THE COTTAGE QUIET ROOM

Also available to Saamis families is the COTTAGE QUIET ROOM located at 17 Dunmore Road, SE (in the same yard as Saamis and where Mr. Worden has his office). In the Cottage is a room where Saamis family members can come and just rest, read a book, listen to music or watch a video. If Mr. Worden is not in his office, SAAMIS MEMORIAL FUNERAL CHAPEL and CREMATORIUM office has a key.
