Pre-arrangement can be taken care of in a number of ways through most funeral homes in Alberta. The full sum can be deposited or payments can be made by instalments or insurance can be purchased. Prepayment offers the advantage of setting aside funds that gain interest to offset increased costs of services and merchandise. The Prearranged Funeral Act under Alberta Municipal Affairs monitors these accounts in Alberta.
