What Options Are Available In Services and Disposition?
Personalization is usually a large element of today’s funerals. No matter how elaborate or simple a funeral service is, the life of the deceased can be reflected through religious beliefs, hobbies, occupation, ethnic background or social affiliations.

Our society practices three basic forms of final disposition.

BURIAL - This involves the lowering of a casket into the earth, and continues to be the form of disposition chosen most often.

CREMATION - It is the process of reducing the body into a few pounds of small skeletal fragments by the use of extreme heat over a few hours and further mechanical processing of the skeletal remains. The cremated remains can be placed in a memorial urn that can be buried, placed in a memorial niche or kept in some other location, such as the home. Scattering of the cremated remains is also an option, but this method should be discussed with your funeral professional.

ENTOMBMENT - This choice of using a crypt is one of the oldest forms of disposition, dating back before Christ. Some cemeteries have mausoleums or outdoor gardens where a crypt is available.
