 Monuments are a Lasting Tribute
After a death people often feel a longing for some permanent reminder of the person who has passed away. Psychologists say that families may have a need to visit a permanent place such as a marked gravesite.
 Most cemeteries have regulations regarding the size and types of markers and monuments that can be used. Some permit markers that are even with the ground, some permit only stone upright monuments and still others have designated sections for both. Costs of bronze markers or stone monuments vary depending upon size, material, design and craftsmanship.

A Name With History
The name was chosen in honour of the Shannon Family, who had settled and lived at this location for three generations. The building that presently houses Shannon Monumental Ltd. was actually part of the Shannons’ Gas Manufacturing Plant that produced gas conversion burners for the old coal and wood stoves and stock water heaters, among other things.
Pat Shannon, granddaughter of the late William James Shannon, honoured the opening of Shannon Monumental Ltd. by assisting in the ribbon cutting in 1994.
Michael Tivadar, who is also a licensed funeral director and embalmer, is honoured to serve the memorial needs of families, both locally and in the surrounding communities.
 Shannon Monumental Ltd. is proud of its skilled craftspeople and our monuments are now seen in many of the cemeteries in the district. With the use of only the finest quality of materials, you are ensured that the memorials will retain their beauty for many decades.
