Gravestones & Headstones by Shannon Monumental Ltd
Cemetery Monuments Are A Lasting Tribute
After a death people often feel a longing for some permanent reminder of the person who has passed away. Psychologists say that families may have a need to visit a permanent place such as a marked gravesite. Most cemeteries have regulations regarding the size and types of markers and cemetery monuments that can be used. Some permit markers that are even with the ground, some permit only stone upright monuments and still others have designated sections for both. Costs of bronze markers or stone monuments vary depending upon size, material, design and craftsmanship. After you have determined what, if any, restrictions apply to cemetery monuments you have chosen you will be able to select an appropriate memorial. Keep in mind that quality material and craftsmanship are all important considerations to selecting any permanent memorial.
At Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, we believe in maintaining strong relationships with the community and that includes supporting local business owners. When it comes to providing Medicine Hat families with gravestones and monuments for their deceased loved ones, there is no one we recommend more than Shannon Monumental Ltd.
Located on the grounds of Saamis Memorial, Shannon Monumental Ltd. is dedicated to providing convenience and quality craftsmanship at affordable prices. Shannon Monumental Ltd. is located on the grounds of Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel. Established in 1994 by Michael Tivadar and Saamis, Shannon Monumental Ltd. provides convenience and quality of workmanship at affordable prices to the families who have lost a loved one.
Part of providing funeral services is ensuring that families do not need to feel added stress or frustration. Losing a loved one is always difficult, which is why at Saamis Memorial we believe giving families peace of mind and providing convenient services is extremely important. In order to ensure that families would not have to make numerous arrangements with multiple providers, we opened our Medicine Hat Cemetery, which currently serves as the final resting place for those that we serve, unless specified as otherwise.
A Name With History
The name was chosen in honor of the Shannon Family, who had settled and lived at this location for three generations. The building that presently houses Shannon Monumental Ltd. was actually part of the Shannon’s Gas Manufacturing Plant that produced gas conversion burners for the old coal and wood stoves and stock water heaters, among other things. Pat Shannon, granddaughter of the late William James Shannon, honored the opening of Shannon Monumental Ltd. by assisting in the ribbon cutting in 1994.
Shannon Monumental Ltd. is proud of its skilled craftspeople and our monuments are now seen in many of the cemeteries in the district. With the use of only the finest quality of materials, you are ensured that the cemetery monuments will retain their beauty for many decades. If you wish to have an existing monument re-finished, the skilled staff at Shannon Monumental Ltd. will work to restore the stone to its former beauty, no matter what its age, without compromising the original design or colouring. It’s important to choose a cemetery monument that reflects the taste and “personality” of the individual who has passed on. Shannon Monumental Ltd. has a huge selection of memorials and cemetery monuments to choose from, covering every material, style, size and budget. If you have difficulty choosing or would like advice, Michael and staff are always happy to assist people in making an appropriate selection.
