In a traditional funeral the bereaved family usually purchases a floral spray for the casket and may add other floral arrangements. Extended family and friends may send additional flowers. Fresh flowers are generally displayed at funerals while artificial arrangements are usually placed at gravesites, since their beauty lasts and withstands the weather.
Beryls Bloomers is situated on the grounds of the Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel and Crematorium on Dunmore Road in Medicine Hat. Owned and operated by Shannon and Dermot Cahill, Beryls Bloomers provides floral arrangements for all occasions and for all budgets. Fresh bouquets, artificial and dried arrangements are all available.
Something Old...Something New
The small cottage was erected on Third Avenue, SE, Medicine Hat in 1912 by Arthur Dickinson, architect and publisher of The Practical Bungalow. It was the long time residence of Jack and Bernice Tufford. In 1985 the home was purchased by the Teel family who were wanting to build a new home on the site. The Teels and Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel and Crematorium did not wish to see the city lose another historical example of early 20th Century architecture. Therefore, Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel and Crematorium preserved the house, as was done with the main building and re-located it to the Saamis Memorial Park.
