Duane moved to Medicine Hat almost 20 years ago and developed many friendships there.
In late winter, Duane was diagnosed with glioblastoma and he spent several months in Medicine Hat Regional Hospital and the Foothills Hospital. He passed away peacefully at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on July 1, 2018.
Duane was predeceased by his parents Melvin and Evelyn. He leaves to morn his passing, his uncle Ivan Condie and cousins Edith Schneider, Carol (Bob) Peters, Loren (Sharon) Condie as well as numerous cousins on both the Olson and Stoen side of the family, and many friends and acquaintances both in Ponteix and Medicine Hat. Duane will be sadly missed by so many that knew him.
