Obituary for Guy Hamilton Marcy

Guy Hamilton Marcy
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Guy Marcy passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at the age of 59 after a long battle with cancer.
Guy leaves to cherish his memory his wife, companion, and best friend, Wendy Jones; his children, Desiree (Jay) Sean, Christine, and Ryan; three grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor, and McKenzie; his mother, Carla; his brother, Norman (Terry); his sisters-in-law, Dracy (Paul) and Robin (Darrell); as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Guy was predeceased by his father, Norman Guy Sr.; and his stepfather, Bill.
Guy was born in Williams Lake, BC and grew up in 100 Mile House, BC. He moved to Alberta in 1978 and obtained a career as a journeyman carpenter, and a master carpenter he was. He lived in Edmonton, Calgary and southern Alberta.
Guy’s first love was his wife, Wendy, and family. His second love was his business, Rocky Cross Construction. He spent the last 12 years of his life in Medicine Hat growing his company and developing solid relationships with his employees and business associates. Guy treated his staff as a second family. He was a compassionate boss who was respected by all his employees. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and loved his ‘Oilers’. Guy enjoyed weekends watching Nascar. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a love for hotrods and spent the last few years enjoying his time showing his 1977 Hornet AMX.
Special thanks to Dr. Monty, Dr. Foley, and the most wonderful nurses on 5East.
