Cecil was born on April 19th, 1936 at Fox Valley, Saskatchewan. In 1955, he met Lena and they married in Medicine Hat in 1957 where they raised their family and lived happily ever after. Cecil worked at various jobs in the early days before starting a successful grain and feed hauling business with Lena, Cec's Trucking Ltd. After providing reliable and friendly service to his customers for many years, Cecil and Lena sold the business and he joined the staff of Alberta Highways and Volker Stevin Contracting before retiring in 2003. Cecil was a devoted husband and father, while still finding time to volunteer for several worthy causes. He was especially active with the Knights of Columbus and ACT/UCT. Cecil will always be remembered for telling a good story or joke, and for welcoming all into their home. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
