It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Alfrede Tate on Thursday, March 1st, 2018 at the age of 82 years, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Alfrede was predeceased by her brother, Helmut Trapp in 1932; her father, Georg Trapp in 1970; her mother, Dora Trapp (nee Apel) in 1984; her first husband, Wilhelm Rott in 2008; and her second husband, Harold Tate in 2000. Alfrede was born in Solna, Sweden near Stockholm on November 21st, 1935. She immigrated to Canada from Germany with her first husband, Wilhelm Rott in January 1957. In 1987, Alfrede married Harold Tate. Alfrede was a hard worker and a dedicated member of The Pentecostal Church of God. She touched many lives in the course of her lifetime and will be missed by all that knew her. Alfrede is now at peace with her Lord and Saviour. Alfrede is survived by her children, Ralph (Tracy), Ramona (Ben) Friesen, Debbie (Tim) Odenbach, and Sheila Sackmann; 8 grandchildren, Taryn, Barrett, and Denae Rott, Candace (Jon) Fehr, Kyle Friesen, Krysten and Braden Sackmann, and Chantel Chartier; her 3 great grandchildren, Kaydence, Londyn, and Maverick Fehr; her brother, Werner (Helen) Trapp; 2 nephews, Eberhardt, and Harold (Marge) and their family; step children, Janice, Valerie, Mason and David Tate. Special mention to Mom’s lifelong friend, Mrs. Sieglinde Dartsch for always being there for her.
