Floyd Bratvold of Medicine Hat, passed away on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at the age of 84 years. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Ella of 59 years; his children, Wes (Sue), Norman, Nora (Tim) Logan, Dale (Yvonne), Marlene and Lori; his beloved grandchildren, Cari (Tyler) Engler, Kevin, Tyler, Scott, Amber (Jesse Stoutenburg), Amber, Justin, Tanner and Rylan; six great grandchildren; one brother, Lynn (Shirley) Bratvold; one sister-in-law, Colleen (Dave) Tessier; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd was predeceased by one daughter, Mary, in infancy; his parents, Gunner and Kalma Bratvold; and his father and mother-in-law, John and Marion Confrey. Floyd was born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan and raised in Simmie. He ran the Simmie Lucky Dollar Store for numerous years until moving to Medicine Hat in 1977. Floyd was then employed at Kustom Koach until moving to the CPR in 1980 until his retirement. Dad enjoyed fishing, gardening, especially his flower beds and long daily walks. We will miss his kind heart, his beautiful blue eyes but most of all his amazing and devoted love for his grandchildren. Our appreciation to the staff of Riverview Care Centre for the kindness and care of dad. Special thanks to Mike and Melissa of Caring Hearts.
