Obituary for Elsie Thelma Sloan (Wessels)
Elsie Thelma Sloan, Grandma Jack, of Medicine Hat, beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Sloan, passed away on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018 at the age of 91 years. Elsie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Kathleen “Kathy” Pilgaard (Doug); her granddaughter, Jennifer Pilgaard; and many friends. Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Jack; her parents, Arthur and Pearl Wessels; as well as her brothers and sisters. Elsie worked as a Pastor ministering alongside her husband, Jack, for many years and in many different locations with the Salvation Army. She loved playing piano and played both the piano and organ at the church for many years. Elsie loved meeting people and rarely forgot a name. She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, and writing in her spare time.
