Marie Yvonne  Ruff
Marie Yvonne Ruff, 81, of High River, Alberta, passed away suddenly at the High River General Hospital, on November 22, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on 11 March 1936, in Taree, New South Wales, Australia, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Gladys Stace (nee McKay). She is survived by her loving family: husband Solomon Ruff; her sons, Craig Ruff and wife Shauna Laubman-Ruff; and Christopher Ruff; her grandchildren, Janae and Dannica Ruff; and her sisters, Phyllis Atkins, Heather Atkins, Thelma Wallis and Janice Jones; as well as many other relatives and close friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Frank Stace and Colin Stace, and sisters Margaret Andrews and Betty Matthews.
Marie worked as Registered Nurse in Australia before she came to Canada, met Sol, and married him in Medicine Hat, AB on 31 October 1964. Their sons, Craig and Christopher, came along in 1969 and 1972 respectively.
She will always be remembered as a woman of special charm, with a unique wit and exuberant sense of humour. She was loving, charitable, and proudly Australian. She loved her family, her friends and her dogs.
